4 Things That Bring Good Vibes To Your Home

Alright, I’m the first person to say that it is NOT EASY to maintain a clean house while dealing with everything else in life.

Who’s kidding though, something about a clean house, room, work or creation space is calming.

However, I have learned that even when my space isn’t the cleanest or as tidy as I’d like, when I have these elements It completely changes the atmosphere and vibe.

This is number one. Candles make the house smell awesome and fire is my personal favorite energy to bring into the house. Maybe it’s because I’m an Aries.. and when I was a kid my grandma told me that my guardian angels could only see by firelight, who knows.

But aroma therapy, flame energy and color psychology are three very real things.

The flame, smell and color all contribute in their own way.

Due to general associations with candles since birth they are likely to be noticed and are instantly calming. The smell of course ties in with aroma therapy.

It’s  best to go with organic beeswax candles made with essential oil. This ensures family and guest’s aren’t inhaling artificial and potentially toxic aromas and wax. Find my favorites for sale here, here and here.

Lastly the color, and I know that sounds crazy but color psychology is very real. Meditating with colors is similar to this concept because certain colors activate different parts of your brain that release different endorphin’s.

Himalayan salt

This can be any large piece of Himalayan salt lying around that is usually crafted into lamps or tea-light holders. Find the ones I have in my house for sale here. The main purpose of Himalayan salt in this form is to clarify the air.

When Himalayan salt is heated, salt ions release and can increase blood flow, improve sleep, increase levels of serotonin in the brain, and calm allergy or asthma symptoms.

Plus they’re super pretty.

Oh and guess what? This salt is better for your kitchen as well. Believe it or not Himalayan Salt contains the same 84 trace minerals and elements that are found in the human body.

That doesn’t mean we are salt.. just that Himalayan salt has less sodium per serving simply because the salt crystals take up less room than standard processed table salt. Give it a try and order some here!

Incense is definitely a household fave and probably one of the few things I’m really good about going to the store and replacing when we run out.

I have an incense holder in 2/3 rooms in the house and this is always the finishing touch of “zenning the house”.

It starts with a 15 minute pick-up, lighting all the candles, turn on essential oil diffusers and lastly ignite some incense to really bring it in.

While this brings happy aroma to the space, there are deeper physical and psychological benefits of incense as well.

Incense boosts confidence, sexual desire, prevents infections, relieves headaches, fights depression, reduces anxiety or tension and aides insomnia. And despite the contrary are not bad for your health to have lit in the house. Read all about these bonuses in further detail here.

Meditation Space

Meditation space, creation space, zen space whatever you want to call it.

This is a place in the house for you to put your creative touch to make the vibe scream your name when you walk into this space.

I’ve learned that when you un-apologetically put your flare on things, it is usually well received (even when it’s a little weird). Who cares! This is your house right? Nobody has to absolutely love this space but you.

Make a space that brings you to your happy place right when you walk in or by.

My favorite meditation, creation, zen whatever was called the “sun room” because it was the only place in the house with two windows.

In this space I had what and who I love hanging on the walls, crystals, oils, sage, trinkets, books and peace-bringers on shelves, my hula-hoops, a futon and meditation alter.

Yours doesn’t have to look anything like mine, make the space yours! Make it a place to be proud of and instantly bring you to your happy place when you walk in.

Vibe it up

Alright these are the 4 things that are sure-fire vibe-changers in my abode.

What do you use to zen up your house? There’s a lot to be said for how a home is put together. There’s no wrong way to do it of course because in the end it’s a reflection of you, so make sure it’s a true one. Genuine and authentic.

Until next time,
